Metricool pricing 2026: every plan and add-on, explained
Metricool's paid plans start at $20 a month, and that number is real. What it doesn't include is X: no Metricool plan covers X (Twitter), and connecting an account costs another $10 a month, per account. Below is every plan and add-on from Metricool's own pricing page, what the bill looks like for four real setups, and where Metricool is worth every cent.
Quick answers
How much is Metricool? Free for 1 brand. Starter is $20/month billed annually or $25 month-to-month for up to 5 brands ($36 or $45 for up to 10). Advanced starts at $53 annually or $67 monthly for up to 15 brands, rising to $159 or $210 for 50. Custom is quoted.
Is X (Twitter) included? No. It's an add-on on Starter and above at $10/month per connected X account. The free plan can't connect X or LinkedIn at all.
Is the free plan really free? Yes, with no time limit: 1 brand, 20 scheduled posts a month, 30 days of analytics, 5 competitor profiles.
Do prices include tax? No. Metricool's page states prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies.
How much does Metricool cost in 2026?
Metricool prices by brands, not by users or channels. A brand is one business or client, and under it you can connect one profile per network: one Instagram, one TikTok, one Facebook Page and so on. That's the most important thing to understand before reading the table, because "5 brands" can mean 5 clients or 5 of your own projects, but never two Instagram accounts under the same brand.
Here's the full ladder, in USD, as published on metricool.com/pricing when we checked it in October 2026:
• Free: $0. 1 brand, every network except LinkedIn and X, 20 posts a month, 30 days of analytics, 5 competitors, 5 AI-assistant credits a month.
• Starter, up to 5 brands: $20/month billed annually ($240 a year), or $25 month-to-month.
• Starter, up to 10 brands: $36/month annually, or $45 monthly.
• Advanced, up to 15 brands: $53/month annually, or $67 monthly.
• Advanced, up to 25 brands: $85/month annually, or $107 monthly.
• Advanced, up to 50 brands: $159/month annually, or $210 monthly.
• Custom (50+ brands, white label): on request.
A detail the "save up to 24%" banner hides: only the 50-brand tier actually saves 24% on annual billing. Every other tier saves about 20% ($20 vs $25, $36 vs $45, $53 vs $67). Still a good discount, but it's a year paid up front.
What each plan actually unlocks
Starter is the plan most solo creators and freelancers land on. It removes the 20-post cap ("unlimited" is subject to Metricool's fair-use policy, which the pricing page links to), unlocks LinkedIn, keeps your analytics history indefinitely, adds PDF and PowerPoint reports, multiple link-in-bio pages, 100 competitor profiles, Google Drive and Canva integration, and 20 AI credits per brand per month. It also unlocks the option to buy the X add-on.
Advanced is the team plan. It's the first tier with team members (unlimited) and client access, role management, a post-approval system, custom report templates, the Data Studio connector, API access with Zapier and Make, complete X analytics (Starter gets "reduced" X analytics), 35 AI credits per brand, recurring scheduling, and AI alt text that doesn't spend credits.
Custom adds white label, a dedicated account manager and custom AI credits. It's built for agencies and software companies embedding Metricool.
The add-ons, and why they matter more than the plan
Metricool's base price is competitive. The add-ons are where a budget drifts:
• X (Twitter): $10/month per connected account, on Starter and above. Not available on Free. If three of your clients post to X, that's $30 a month on top of the plan.
• Advanced Analytics: from $12/month on Starter and from $36/month on Advanced. It unlocks unlimited Metricool Studio and campaign dashboards; Starter and Advanced include only 3 campaign dashboards without it.
• Hashtag Tracker: $25 per day of tracking, for Instagram or X.
• VAT: not an add-on, but not in the sticker price either.
What you'd actually pay: four real setups
These use the published USD prices above, before any VAT.
1. Solo creator, Instagram + TikTok + YouTube, posting 4–5 times a week. That's roughly 20 posts a month per network, so the free plan's 20-post cap runs out in the first week. Starter: $20/month annual, $25 monthly.
2. Same creator, adds X and LinkedIn. Starter plus one X add-on: $30/month on annual billing ($360 a year), $35 month-to-month. This is the real entry price for anyone whose audience is on X.
3. Freelancer with 6 small-business clients, 3 of them on X. Six brands pushes you past the 5-brand Starter tier to 10 brands: $36 + 3 × $10 = $66/month annual, $75 monthly. No team access at this level, so the clients can't log in to approve posts.
4. Two-person agency, 12 clients, client approvals needed. Approvals mean Advanced, and 12 brands means the 15-brand tier: $53/month annual or $67 monthly, plus $10 for each X account. With 5 clients on X, it's $103 or $117.
Setups 3 and 4 are where Metricool is strongest: per brand, $66 for six clients is cheap for what it does. Setup 2 is where the add-on structure stings most, because the person paying is one creator with one brand.
Where Metricool is worth it
We'd rather say this plainly than have you find out later: if your job is reporting, Metricool is very good value. The PDF and PowerPoint reports, competitor tracking for up to 100 profiles, the Data Studio connector and the ads dashboards across Meta, Google and TikTok are a lot of tool for the money. It also connects networks we don't: Pinterest, Bluesky, Twitch and Google Business Profile, plus a social inbox and link-in-bio. Its MCP connector even works on the free plan, which ours doesn't. For an agency running many brands with approvals, Advanced at $53 a month is hard to beat.
Where a flat price makes more sense
The brand-based model is built for people managing many brands. If you're one creator or one small business, you're paying for brand slots you won't use, and for X separately. Smart Post Studio is the opposite trade-off: one user, one flat price, all 8 of our platforms included. Scheduler is $8/month billed monthly and covers Instagram, Threads, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn (including Company Pages) and Fanvue, with no per-account add-on for X or LinkedIn. Studio plans ($11–19/month) add our AI Writing Studio. We don't do analytics reports, competitor tracking or team approvals on these plans, so if those are your deliverables, Metricool is the better tool. We've laid the two side by side in Smart Post Studio vs Metricool.
Free plans differ too. Metricool's gives you more posts (20 a month vs our 10) and more networks at once. Ours gives you 2 platforms of your choice, which can include X or LinkedIn, at full original video quality, with a small "scheduled with" line on each post. The full rundown of our free plan is here, and we compared every major free tier in free social media schedulers, compared.
How Metricool's price compares to the market
For the wider picture, our Scheduler Price Gap study prices eight tools for the same job: one person posting to the same set of platforms. The pattern it found holds here as well: the advertised entry price is rarely what you pay once you add the platforms you actually use. Metricool's gap is smaller than most, and it's almost entirely one line item: X.
The bottom line
Metricool costs $20 a month on annual billing for up to 5 brands, and that's a fair price for what Starter includes. Budget an extra $10 a month for every X account, about 20% more if you pay monthly, VAT if it applies to you, and Advanced ($53+) the day you need someone else to approve a post. If you manage several brands and live in reports, it earns the money. If you're one person who wants every platform on one calendar, price the whole bill, X included, before you pick.
