Smart Post Studio is now on the web & your phone

Since the day Smart Post Studio launched, one request has dominated every feedback channel — the support chat, the emails, the Reddit comments: "I love that it's local-first, but can it post while my computer is off?" As of today, yes. The Smart Post Studio web app is live, in beta, and it changes what this product can be without changing what it stands for.

1. What shipped today

A full web app at app.smartpoststudio.com. Your calendar, your composer, the AI Writing Studio — in any browser, on any device. It's the same account and the same subscription as the desktop app: log in and your world is there. If you're new, the same 14-day free trial covers both (no card, but you'll need an account).

Post-and-forget cloud scheduling. Posts scheduled through the web app publish from the cloud at the time you picked. Laptop closed, phone in your pocket, machine asleep — the post fires anyway. This was structurally impossible in a purely local-first architecture, and it's the whole reason the web app exists.

It works from your phone. The web app is fully mobile-friendly. Shoot something, open the browser, write the caption (or let the AI write it), schedule it to all seven platforms — from the couch, the job site, the airport gate. No app store, no install; it's a URL.

2. What deliberately didn't change

The desktop app is exactly where you left it, doing exactly what made it different: publishing straight from your machine, media staying on your disk, tokens in your OS keychain. Local-first isn't a feature we're retiring — it's the default we're proud of. The cloud is now an option you choose per workflow, not a requirement someone chose for you.

And because you'll ask (you should): media for cloud-scheduled posts is stored securely only until the post publishes, then deleted automatically — within about 15 minutes of posting. Uploads never attached to a post purge within 48 hours. Nothing is analysed, transcoded, or kept. Desktop-scheduled posts still never upload media at all — just a small preview thumbnail so your calendar looks right on every device. The full detail is in our privacy policy, updated today, because promises about your data belong in writing.

3. Which one is for you?

We put an honest side-by-side on the homepage, but the short version: desktop when you want privacy — maximum control, native 4K quality, files that never sit in anyone's cloud. Web when you want freedom — schedule from anywhere, post from your phone, computer off. Most people will use both before the week is out, and since it's one subscription, that's exactly the point.

4. It's a beta, and we mean that honestly

The web app is what we run ourselves, and it's solid. It's also two hours old in public. If something looks weird, breaks, or just annoys you — email support@smartpoststudio.com and it lands with a human who can fix it. Beta feedback shapes what ships next; the people who show up now get listened to the most.

Open the web app → — or grab the desktop app if maximum privacy is your thing. Either way: welcome to Smart Post Studio, everywhere.

Run the system without the busywork.

Smart Post Studio schedules a week of posts across all seven platforms from your Mac or PC — straight from your desktop, no cloud middleman. 14-day free trial, then $19/month (or $11/month on semi-annual).
