SocialPilot alternatives in 2026

S

SocialPilot's cheapest plan, Essentials, is $30 a month for 7 accounts and 1 user, and according to SocialPilot's own pricing file it doesn't include analytics, the social inbox or approval workflows. Those start on Standard at $50 a month, and bulk scheduling waits until Premium at $100. For an agency juggling clients, SocialPilot is still one of the better-value tools in its class. If you're one person who mostly publishes, you may be paying for the wrong tier, or the wrong tool. Here are seven alternatives, with the numbers that matter, and where SocialPilot still wins.

Disclosure first: we make one of the tools in this list. We'll say where SocialPilot and the others beat us.

Quick answers

How much does SocialPilot cost? Essentials $30/month ($25.50 billed yearly) for 7 accounts and 1 user; Standard $50 ($42.50) for 15 accounts and 3 users; Premium $100 ($85) for 25 accounts and 6 users; Ultimate $200 ($170) for 50 accounts and unlimited users. Extra accounts are $4/month, extra users $5/month.

Does SocialPilot have a free plan? No. As of October 2026 it offers a 14-day trial with no credit card required.

Cheapest SocialPilot alternative? If you publish and don't need an inbox: Smart Post Studio ($8 flat, 8 platforms) or Buffer's free plan (3 channels). If you want reports included at the entry price: Metricool from $20 billed yearly.

What does SocialPilot cost in 2026?

Four self-serve tiers plus Enterprise, priced per plan with a fixed number of accounts and seats. From SocialPilot's plans page and the pricing file it publishes for AI assistants (marked "last updated July 2026"), both read on October 27, 2026:

One thing to read twice: SocialPilot serves a second, non-indexed page at socialpilot.co/pricing that shows a different Essentials offer, $20 a month for 5 accounts, with Standard at $40 for 10. We've used the canonical plans page and the pricing file, which agree with each other. If you're quoted $20, you're looking at a different offer; confirm the account count at checkout.

Where SocialPilot is genuinely strong: it publishes to 10 networks, including Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business Profile. It's built for agencies, with client workspaces, client approvals and white-label reports from $85 a month, unlimited users on Ultimate, and cheap add-ons ($4 per extra account). And its MCP server is included on all paid plans: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients can list accounts, create and schedule posts, manage drafts, and check which posts failed or missed their slot. That's a clean, publishing-focused toolset, close in spirit to ours.

SocialPilot's figures come from its plans page, pricing file and MCP help article on October 27, 2026. The others come from our comparisons this month, each checked against the vendor's own page, and our scheduler pricing study. If a number is wrong, tell us and we'll correct it and say so.

1. Smart Post Studio: if you publish and don't moderate

This is ours, so weigh it accordingly. $8 a month flat on the Scheduler plan for all eight platforms (Instagram, Threads, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn including Company Pages, and Fanvue). Studio plans at $11–19 add the Writing Studio and email campaigns, and there's a free plan with 2 platforms and 10 posts a month, no card. One person covering eight platforms on SocialPilot needs Essentials plus one extra account, $34 a month; on our Scheduler plan it's $8. Full plan list on our pricing page.

What you give up: no inbox, no approvals, no client workspaces, no white-label reports, and analytics per platform rather than custom reports. We also don't support Pinterest, Bluesky or Google Business Profile, which SocialPilot does. If you run social for clients, SocialPilot Premium is the better fit and we'd say so. Where we're different rather than just cheaper: the desktop app publishes media from your own machine, so a 4K export goes out as 4K instead of being re-encoded on a server first (the evidence). And we integrate Fanvue, which SocialPilot doesn't list.

2. Buffer: free plan, per-channel meter

Three channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel free; $6 per channel a month on Essentials after that ($5 billed yearly). Seven channels comes to $35–42 a month, about the same as SocialPilot Essentials, but Buffer includes analytics and a comment inbox at that level, and its MCP server works on every plan, including free. Approvals need the Team plan at $12 per channel, and media is capped at 1080p. Side by side: Smart Post Studio vs Buffer.

3. Metricool: reports at the entry price

If the reason you'd upgrade SocialPilot to Standard is analytics, Metricool Starter is $20 a month billed yearly for up to 5 brands, with reports included. X costs $10 per account extra. The free plan excludes X and LinkedIn, and approvals and the API start on Advanced ($53 yearly). Our Metricool comparison has the fine print.

4. SocialBee: an inbox for $29

SocialBee puts its engagement inbox on every plan from $29 a month (5 profiles), where SocialPilot makes you go to $50. Accelerate at $49 gives 10 profiles and adds approvals. Its strength is evergreen category recycling. Where SocialPilot includes an MCP server on every paid plan, SocialBee's automation runs through Zapier and Make.

5. Vista Social: more networks, inbox and reviews

Vista Social Professional is $950 a year (about $79 a month) or $99 monthly for 15 profiles and 2 users, with the inbox, reviews and approvals included and 13 networks. X costs $29 a month extra. Compared with SocialPilot Standard ($42.50 yearly for 15 accounts and 3 users) it's pricier, but its review management and DM automations go further. Details in Vista Social alternatives.

6. Planable: approvals without counting seats

If client sign-off is why you're on SocialPilot Premium, Planable charges per workspace ($33 on Basic, yearly) with unlimited users, and approvals are its core product. The inbox and analytics are paid add-ons. We covered it in Planable alternatives.

7. Agorapulse: if you'd move up, not down

Agorapulse prices per user, $79 a month billed yearly with 10 profiles shared, and approvals from the $119 tier. Its inbox, ad-comment moderation and ROI reports are stronger than SocialPilot's, but for a team of three, SocialPilot Standard costs a fraction. Its MCP connector is in beta and creates drafts only. More in Agorapulse alternatives.

Who should stay on SocialPilot

Agencies and freelancers managing several clients: client workspaces, client approvals, white-label reports and bulk CSV scheduling for $85 a month billed yearly is hard to beat, and Ultimate's unlimited users suit bigger teams. Also anyone who needs Pinterest, Bluesky or Google Business Profile alongside the big platforms, or wants an MCP server for scheduling on a mid-priced plan.

If you're a solo creator, check which tier you'd actually need. Essentials publishes but shows you no analytics; Standard adds them, plus an inbox and team seats you may not use. Before you decide, plan when your posts should go out with our free post time planner; it works with any scheduler.

People also ask

Is SocialPilot cheaper than Hootsuite?

Yes, by a wide margin for small teams. SocialPilot Standard is $50 a month ($42.50 billed yearly) for 3 users and 15 accounts, while Hootsuite starts at $99 per user per month on annual billing.

Does SocialPilot include analytics on every plan?

No. SocialPilot's own pricing file lists analytics, reports and the social inbox from Standard ($50/month) up. Essentials ($30/month) covers publishing only.

What is the best SocialPilot alternative for a solo creator?

If you don't need an inbox or client tools, a flat-price scheduler such as Smart Post Studio ($8 for 8 platforms) or Buffer's free plan (3 channels). If you want reports included cheaply, Metricool from $20 a month billed yearly.

TL;DR: SocialPilot is $30/month for 7 accounts with no analytics or inbox; Standard at $50 adds both, and Premium at $100 adds client tools and bulk CSV. It's excellent value for agencies with clients. If you only publish, Smart Post Studio ($8 flat), Buffer (free for 3 channels) or Metricool ($20 with reports) cost less for what you'd use.
